SAP ERP Financials module is therefore one of the most cogent module of SAP ERP application software under the family called SAP ERP Business Suite. It provides the tools to help companies prepare their Financial Statements in compliance with accounting standards such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and In addition, SAP ERP Financials offers benefits such as the ability to generate a set of balanced and reconcilable financial statements by any dimension of the business — including business area/ business divisions, profit center, or segment reporting— along with integrated enterprise wide financial analytic capabilities.

SAP FI/CO Stands for FI (Financial Accounting) which is basically the Recording and Reporting aspect of every organisations financial transactions, therefore FI Financial reporting is termed to be external reporting, while CO (Controlling/Management Accounting) is accordingly the controlling of the organisations Cost and Revenue by using several organisational Cost Objects such as; cost centre, internal order, production order etc.

It tests that the candidate has a good overall understanding within this consultant profile and can implement this knowledge practically in projects under guidance of an experienced consultant. This certificate is the ideal – although not mandatory – prerequisite for the qualification to SAP Certified Professional in Financial Accounting. It is recommended as an entry-level qualification to allow consultants to get acquainted within Financial Accounting projects.
